Our Experience

Owner Scott Barker has over 16 years experience in the business of professional tree trimming, project management, and storm recovery services.

In 1992 Scott began work as a trimmer for the Shade Tree Service Company. Working along side Bob Vaught, Scott learned the best practices and safe techniques while developing skills of the trade. Self-employment started as early as 1995 and has now blossomed into the successful full-time business known as Barker’s Tree Service.

Commitment to the community and to the service of others also keeps Scott busy as a volunteer. After serving as a firefighter and first responder for 8 years, Scott now holds the rank of Captain in the Western Taney County Fire Protection District. He is certified in the fields of First Responder, Auto Rescue, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Emergency Vehicle Driving, Firefighter 1, and Firefighter 2.

Scott’s wife Cyndi is an owner and business manager for Barker’s Tree Service. She brings management and supervisory experience from her work in the cable, retail, and service industries. Cyndi also serves as an auxiliary member of the Western Taney County Fire Protection District and as Secretary of the Taney County Fair Board.
